Before cancelling any tour or travel services through ( Taj Destinations & Travel Services, we recommend that you carefully read our Cancellation and Refund Policy. Understanding the terms and conditions related to cancelling your trip is crucial for a seamless experience. If you find yourself needing to cancel your tour or travel services for any reason, whether within your control or not, please inform us via a written notice. Cancellation of Tour by Client

If, for reasons completely out of your control, you find yourself unable to continue with your scheduled tour, you may have the opportunity to transfer your reservation to an individual who meets all tour requirements. Please inform Taj Destinations at least 14 days prior to the departure date if you wish to arrange a transfer. If the transfer is approved, both the individual transferring the booking and the recipient will be accountable for the tour fees and any extra expenses incurred as a result of the transfer. This policy is in place to ensure fairness and seamless coordination for all parties involved.

If you have reserved a private tour with Taj Destinations and find yourself in need of adjusting your plans, rest assured that we are here to assist you in rescheduling your tour for a later date. Please be mindful that there may be associated costs. As per our cancellation policy, you will be required to cover any cancellation fees. Moreover, any unforeseen expenses that arise before you embark on the rescheduled tour, such as accommodation, transportation, fuel, taxes, or charges from third-party vendors, will be your responsibility to cover. These costs may be subject to factors such as currency fluctuations, park fees, tax hikes, or government actions affecting tour pricing. We aim to keep you informed of these potential expenses and encourage you to reach out with any inquiries or assistance you may need.

The cancellation fees at Taj Destinations are determined by the date of cancellation request received. Below is a breakdown of the fees, which are a percentage of the total tour cost being cancelled:

  • 60 days & prior to arrival – 15% of the tour/service cost.
  • 30 days & prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
  • 30 days to 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
  • 14 days to 8 days prior to arrival – 75% of the tour/service cost.
  • 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Cancellation Policy for Wildlife Safaris in Indian National Parks

Kindly note that once a wildlife safari is booked in any of the Indian Wildlife National Parks or sanctuaries, it is non-refundable. Unfortunately, any request for a date change will be considered a cancellation, and no payment will be refunded or adjusted in such cases. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.

  • 30 days & prior to arrival – 25% of the wildlife safari/service cost.
  • 30 days to 15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the wildlife safari/service cost.
  • 14 days to 8 days prior to arrival – 75% of the wildlife safari/service cost.
  • 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Cancellation and Changes

When booking a tour with Taj Destinations, we kindly ask our valued clients to understand that adventure travel in India necessitates flexibility. Please be aware that we may need to make reasonable adjustments to your tour and/or itinerary. It is important to note that the route, schedules, timings, accommodations, itineraries, amenities, and mode of transport mentioned in the tour may be subject to change without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances such as sickness, mechanical issues, incidents in the tour location, flight cancellations, strikes, political disputes, entry or border difficulties, extreme weather, or any other unpredictable situations beyond our control. Rest assured that we always strive to provide you with the best possible experience. In the event of unexpected circumstances, we kindly request your understanding and wish to assure you that Taj Destinations cannot be held responsible or liable for any resulting changes or modifications.

Taj Destinations will not be held responsible for any discounts or refunds for services that were not utilized by the client, unless the fault lies with Taj Destinations, its suppliers, or representatives. This includes instances where the client's involvement in the tour is terminated due to their own actions, negligence, or violation of our Terms and Conditions. While we strive to ensure that your tour proceeds as planned, we are unable to guarantee adherence to the agreed itinerary at all times. We retain the right to adjust the itinerary if deemed necessary or advantageous. We will make an effort to communicate any modifications before the tour commences, however, this is not a requirement and we will not be accountable for any resulting refund issues. It should be noted that we have limited control over the accommodations we utilize on our tours, meaning that certain situations may be subject to constraints or variances beyond our influence.


When requesting a refund for unused services or those not cancelled in advance, we will determine the refund amount according to our previously stated cancellation policy. The refund will be issued to the original payment method. Please note that it may take 2-4 weeks for the refund to be processed due to banking procedures. Any bank charges incurred will be deducted from the refunded amount if credited to a credit card or bank account.

Important Notice:

Please note that written cancellations can be submitted on any weekday from Monday to Saturday. Unfortunately, we are unable to process cancellations received on Sundays. However, rest assured that if you send your cancellation on a Sunday, it will be considered on the following working day, which is Monday. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Kindly be aware that bookings for the holiday season, particularly from December 20 to January 5, are non-refundable, and payments are non-reversible.
